Terms of Service
The plain-English version.
We like to keep things simple and fair. These terms explain how working with Southern Site Shop, a KMC company ("we," "us"), works. By asking us for a quote, approving a site, or paying for our services, you ("the client") agree to them.

1. Your content
You're responsible for the accuracy and legality of everything you give us or approve, including hours, prices, menus, claims, photos and logos. By sending it to us, you confirm you have the rights to use it and to let us put it on your site.
2. Your business
You're responsible for your own business decisions, products, services, licenses, permits and compliance with the laws that apply to your business.
3. Results
We work hard to help you get found, but we can't guarantee search rankings, traffic, calls, orders, sales or revenue. Nobody honestly can.
4. Other companies' services
Your site may rely on services we don't control, like Google, Facebook, DoorDash, Cloudflare, domain registrars and hosting providers. We aren't liable for their outages, changes, policies or fees.
5. Uptime
We do our best to keep your site online and fast, but we can't promise it will never go down or be interrupted.
6. Approval
You review your site before it goes live. When you approve it, you accept the work as finished. Changes after launch are handled through the care plan or quoted separately.
7. Care plan
The care plan is optional and month to month. Cancel anytime with one email. We don't refund partial months. Your free first month with a new build starts the day your site goes live, not during the build.
8. Ownership
You own your site's content and your domain, which is registered in your name. If you leave, everything goes with you. We may show your finished site in our portfolio unless you tell us not to.
9. Payment
[Payment terms to be added: deposit, due dates, late fees.]
10. Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We aren't liable for indirect, consequential or lost-profit damages.
11. Content claims
If someone makes a claim against us because of content you supplied (for example, a photo you didn't have rights to), you agree to cover our costs and defend us against that claim.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll change the date above, and for active clients we'll let you know about any big changes.
13. Governing law and where disputes are handled
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, no matter where you or your business are located. This applies to clients in any state. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts serving Dale County, Alabama, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
